Candy-inspired skateboard packaging
In junior high, my friends and I would always ride our skateboards and bicycles to the corner store to fill up on candy. I loved candy as a child and I love candy now. So after many different iterations on structural concepts, I decided to focus the brand on the nostalgia brought about by classic candy packaging, but interpreting it in a modern way that would appeal to an older customer. One issue that I noticed in the skate accessory world was that no care was taken in packaging the wheels. And they’re not cheap. They are simply shrink-wrapped with a label. Boring. So I decided to change that, creating a box that not only houses the wheels snug, but also rolls like a real skateboard. All without the use of glue or any adhesive.
